+1 for Jacobs

I still can’t believe this might happen. For what it’s worth, I don’t think this one is even close..

why are you shocked by his support

none of these guys were getting support 10 rounds ago.

by auclairkeithbc on Feb 16, 2026 2:26 PM EST up reply actions

Kind of joking

However, it doesn’t seem that long ago people were incredulous that I was even suggesting him as a tester. ‘The Brandon Jacobs on the Red Sox?’

I still think he’s vastly overlooked but a recent appearance on a prospect writer’s list has likely buoyed his profile (not unlike Joe Ross on our pitching poll) so who knows how much of this support is really an endorsement of the player. Jacobs should be on by this point & it’s way overdue in my opinion. If nobody was considering him (or Marcell Ozuna for that matter), they’re likely not concerned enough with actual talent.

That was me!!

And it was for the 26th positional prospect. You started actually voting for him by at least as early at #35 overall. Obviously it has skewed your view of how long he’s been ignored.

#35

Positional prospect…not overall prospect obviously.

by auclairkeithbc on Feb 16, 2026 3:17 PM EST up reply actions

Nice recall, that's funny

& looking up at the list that checks out - I an near certain I have him higher than all of those guys post-34. Actually, a bit higher than that even.

by Matt0330 on Feb 16, 2026 3:54 PM EST up reply actions

I recalled saying it

I had to look up where you voted for him.
