+1 for Schoop

Slightly.

I like Rymer Liriano, but he’s only my 4th overall OF who hasn’t charted yet (& the third of those with substantial Low A data) so I doubt I end up supporting him for this exercise in the end.

Weak, Johnny Damon-ish arm

Seems to have good obp, but not sure if that is a result of a good eye, or being too passive.

I'm just saying Gyorko is a top 40 bat Easily....

Hmmm

Pretty interesting that he wants Gyorko to get the attention, not Arcia.

Simmons/Schoop

Been going back and forth on these guys…last time went with Simmons, this time with Schoop, mostly on the basis that I don’t think I gave ARL enough weight previously. Feel like I could be talked back into putting Simmons above him. Liriano and Gyorko not far behind either of them for me, and Wong figures in there somewhere too. Basically, there’s 5 guys that I see as being fairly close together.

by MjwW on Dec 29, 2025 3:52 AM EST up reply actions

So far Liriano and Schoop are close

Currently 14-12 Liriano.
Curious, of those who voted for someone other than these two, which player would you pick if it goes to a run-off, and why?

by cookiedabookie on Dec 28, 2025 10:08 PM EST reply actions

I'd go Schoop

. . butI looked at the two again and, it is closer than I thought. Schoop is only a few months younger - I thought it was more. I like Schoop because he didn’t fall on his face when he went to High A like Liriano did. Schoop also makes better contact and, could be a more valuable defensive player.

Happy Holliday's everybody. Be safe and, enjoy! - Case
