Nick Castellanos
Personally, I’d rank him ahead of some of the other guys on the poll right now.
by BryceHarper on Nov 14, 2025 2:36 PM EST up reply actions
Anthony Gose
I prefer him over a bunch of the guys currently in rotation.

There were 5 players with zero votes in poll #7
I am probably not going to be able to add all 5 to the next poll, maybe 3 - depends on the voting. So if anyone has a strong opinion among those 5 (Sano, Lindor, Lee, Cuthbert, Jackson), let me know, and I’ll try my best to get the right guys added next time.
by auclairkeithbc on Nov 14, 2025 1:59 PM EST up reply actions
I wouldn't
say its a super strong opinion, but Sano has, in my opinion, enough of a higher ceiling than the rest of those guys that’s its worth noting. Yes, his defense has major questions, but his bat could be so unbelievably good.
If I had to vote for 1 of the 5, it’d be Sano.

My vote would be for Lee
premium position, great floor, I think he’s a cut above the rest of those guys.
Would rank them Lee, Sano, Lindor, Cuthbert, Jackson
by BigG'S on Nov 14, 2025 3:03 PM EST up reply actions
Lindor and Sano stand head and shoulders above the rest
I’d list those two plus Lee if there is room.
by guru4u on Nov 14, 2025 4:03 PM EST up reply actions
Sano and Jackson
biggest ceiling and close-to-the-majors all-around talent, respectively. ahead of the other three, IMO
by PrincetonCubs on Nov 14, 2025 4:59 PM EST up reply actions
Ceiling
I don’t agree that Jackson has a higher ceiling than Sano or Cuthbert or maybe Lindor (all around).
by siddfynch on Nov 14, 2025 9:05 PM EST up reply actions
respectively means
Sano = biggest ceiling, Jackson = close to the majors all-around talent
by PrincetonCubs on Nov 15, 2025 9:59 AM EST up reply actions
My preferred order
Sano
Lee
Cuthbert
Lindor
Jackson
by siddfynch on Nov 14, 2025 9:04 PM EST up reply actions
too early for
Lee and Lindor. Lindor should go on at the same time as Mahtook, Baez, Spangenberg, other guys w/ no pro stats to speak of.
by PrincetonCubs on Nov 15, 2025 10:02 AM EST up reply actions
Disagree
Strong reports coming out of instructs on Lindor, seems like his bat was underrated previously.

saw them too
but they are what they are, some anonymous reports from instructs. I’m not going to bump him up that much based on that alone
by PrincetonCubs on Nov 15, 2025 1:22 PM EST up reply actions
As good as his defense is
I think it’s totally warranted, but to each their own.

Oscar T
Once the high-ceiling/close to majors guys are on, I start to look to high-ceiiling/ a liottle farther away guys and Oscar Tavares is a hell of a hitter.
As far as closer guys HJ L:ee and D’Arnaud are close but, push comes to shove, Id take this hitter and, Tavare is going to have defensive value himself.

Meh
Just talking MWL guys I’d rather have Marisnick and Cuthbert. It is way too early for Taveras.

I voted d’Arnaud here and Bogaerts and Sano will be next after that, but Marisnick is 4th right now for me.

I can see D'Arnaud
. . . but it’s hard to see Marisnick being in the same class as Tavares as a hitter. Marisnick is 15 months older and, was .733 OPS player at the same age/lower level most of the season as Tavares was this year. I mean, basicly, imagine if Tavares repeated the MWL next season.

True but
I really like the way Marisnick is developing, and turning his raw athletic tools into baseball skills. He’s come around a little slower than some others, but now that he is, I expect him to continue to do it in a big way.

Hey, you could be right
I have nothing against Marisnick. I just think the guy who rolls to the ballpark and goes 2-5 every day is special.

Taveras is just a great hitting prospect, and doesn’t look to add much value elsewhere, while Marisnick may be a major-league CF, and has a fair bit of speed. And a .440 BABIP is lucky even for the best prospect, even in the MWL.
I’ll grant that Taveras is a better prospect purely as a hitter, but it’s closer than you indicate, and baserunning & position put Marisnick well ahead, imho.

Well
This one is just for positional players, not pitchers. We have a pitchers poll as well, and Cole is already on the list.
