Update on Minor League Ball Community Mock Draft

On Monday morning May 7th, I will post all the details and start signing people up for the 2012 Minor League Ball Community Mock Draft, which is one of the biggest events of the year around here. It is tentatively scheduled for May 26th but there is some chance it may slip to June 2nd. I will figure the exact day out this weekend. Obviously we can't get the process started until we know what day it will be.

One of my favorite events of the year

Looking forward to my 3rd straight year as an SD.

I'm looking forward to posting a short history of my mock drafts here soon

I’ve had my highs and I’ve had my lows, as you’ll see . . .

Not that John ever seems to need help recruiting for participation in these things, but I think it’ll get people revved up about the possibilities. Advice/caution to anybody thinking they want in: IT’S NOT EASY. You really have to be on the ball about it, and it takes a lot of preparation.

That said, I’m hoping John will take the opportunity afforded by increased draft coverage here to return the mock draft to 5 rounds. I know the attrition rate after the first round or so is incredibly high, but I think there are 30 or so people who can hang in there. I think the troubles in the past with that have been due to random people delurking just because they want to be able to pick their favorite team’s first rounder.

I've had a lot of fun with it

And have had my successes as well. But I am in the industry too, so have a bit of a head start when it comes to my homework.

I have done the Brewers the past two years, but may attempt to ask for a different team this year.

I would like to "play"

but as a “rookie” here I’d understand if I started off on a waiting list first.

Time of day would be an issue too, and five rounds would definitely be too many. I’ve done four hour fantasy drafts before, and if you saw my roster after the third hour, you’d know Jack Daniels had as much to do with my selections as I did.

Can't wait

Had a great time last year as the Yankees, and you are write kupe, it is a ton of work, and not easy. And I would be up for five rounds.

I want some.

There are no apostrophes in plurals.
A lot is two words. Allot can be one word but it has another meaning.
The only time you really want to use "myself" is when you are the recipient of your own action. Usually you're better off using "me."
Your is not the correct contraction of you are. The word you're looking for is you're.
It's anyway, not anyways.
But if you only remember one thing...
There are no apostrophes in plurals.
