Deep League, High-Impact Prospects: Friends, I love this Site and would love the community's advice!

Hey, folks. This is my first time to post here. I hope you don’t mind.

I’m posting because I am just really impressed and intrigued by the intelligent responses I keep finding in the FANPOST section and since I really need to rebuild my DEEP LEAGUE fantasy team with long-term, high-upside prospects I can think of no better experts to quiz than you all.

Thank you for the opportunity!

So, in this Deep Keeper League I’m in, I’ve got a vast number of high picks in this year’s upcoming draft. I've just about traded all my veteran talent for picks.

I’m looking for high-upside dudes—batters, not pitchers. Many potential future stars (Trout, Harper, et al) have been taken in my league but I am hopeful some good ones remain (see list).

Please tell me what order to rank the players below (I don’t care about position; just looking to pick up the best available long-term talent before my competition some of whom are also rebuilding.) I have the first overall choice and four other picks in the first round so I definitely need to have a clear idea about how to prioritize these cats. My league mates are acute and aggressive and tricky, so every bit of clarity and understand counts.

Thank you so much!

THE QUESTION: How would you rank these TEN players in terms of their potential to be elite impact players in the long-term?

Xander Bogaerts

Paul Goldschmidt

Francisco Lindor

Yoennis Cespedes

Brian Buxton

Chelsor Cuthberth

Jorge Soler

Anthony Gose

Oscar Taveras

Jacob Marisnick

(BONUS QUESTION: Should any of these names supplant anybody on the above TOP TEN list?)

Eddie Rosario

Rymer Liriano

Tim Wheeler

Brandon Nimmo

Jon Schoop

Trevor Story

Mike Olt

Brian Dozier

Josh Sale

Cesar Puello

Ronald Torreyes

Javier Baez

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Guys You Left Out:

Not necessarily in this order, but the following players would probably go high on most picks lists (for various reasons):

Miguel Sano
Devin Mesoraco
Bubba Starling
Travis D’Arnaud
Gary Sanchez
Jurickson Profar
Manny Machado
Nolan Arenado

Those

Are most likely taken

Thanks peeps; keep 'em coming...

These are great; giving me much to think on already.

Re: Guys I Left Out. High Heater’s right: all already taken.

My list

1. Yu Darvish, if he’s available (after all, Cespedes is available…)
2. Cespedes
3. Lindor
4. Cuthberth
5. Marisnick
6. Bogaerts
7. Sale
8. Goldschmidt
9. Olt
10. Soler

The wind is in the buffalo.

Thanks, Journeyman

Yu taken + with this list I wanted to focus on bats, not arms.

Intrigued that you have Sale, #7—much higher, I’m sure, than others would place him.

Also intrigued that you list Lindor over Bogaerts.

Contrarians get my attention. Would love to know the reasoning behind these two decisions.

best,

Fanthead

Quick List (Assuming 5X5 or some sort of typical roto setup)

1) Paul Goldschmidt (bird in the hand &, oh yeah, he’s good)

2) Yoennis Cespedes (proximity to MLB & potential everyday player)

3T) Oscar Taveras

3T) Xander Bogaerts

5) Jake Marisnick

6) Anthony Gose

7) Cheslor Cuthbert

8) Jorge Soler (totally speculative)

9) Francisco Lindor (maybe the best talent here though)

10) Byron Buxton

Also, I would think about Rymer Liriano in that Marisnick through Cuthbert range.

my list

Soler
Marisinick
Cespedes
Bogaerts
Lindor
Gose
Goldschmist
Cuthbert
Taveras
Buxton

I think Wheeler and Liriano might supplant Taveras and Buxton
