I find no mention of Drabek in the rotation a bit odd in 2014-2015

And I presume Syndegaard must be in middle relief or set-up Santos

Is

it not possible Syndergaard is still in the minor leagues? If he was in the 2014 rotation, Noah would have to breeze through the entire minor leagues in the next 2 years.

by McCutchenIsTheTruth on Dec 19, 2025 12:51 PM EST up reply actions

well I'll give you that, but in 2015 he should be at least knocking on the door

Norris is the #3

I don’t think timetable is the answer because they have Norris listed as the #3.

by ROBERTS04 on Dec 19, 2025 1:24 PM EST up reply actions

And Sanchez

Who started and finished at the same level in 2011

by MjwW on Dec 19, 2025 5:17 PM EST up reply actions

he moved from bluefield to vancouver. I can’t remember if he made some playoff starts at lansing though

by Sniderlover on Dec 19, 2025 5:59 PM EST up reply actions

he made a playoff start for Lansing against Fort Wayne, I think that was it. Syndergaard only pitched 9 innings for Lansing, so effectively they tracked each other though Sanchez was always promoted after Syndergaard

by MjwW on Dec 20, 2025 2:08 AM EST up reply actions

Drabek

How do you go from top prospect to not in the rotation? What about snider for 14-15 season?

by zeuspower on Dec 19, 2025 9:19 PM EST up reply actions

pretty much exactly my thought, BA seems to be contradicting themselves some

Norris at #4 surprised me...

Happily surprised, though.

by dbreer23 on Dec 19, 2025 12:59 PM EST reply actions

I'm not

Norris is flying under the radar for some reason. He is definitely the best pitching prospect on that team to me (until Darvish is signed at least).

On pure upside, I agree

BA tends to leans more towards upside (along with the shiny new toy syndrome) anyhow - I’m just leery of putting a kid who hasn’t thrown a professional pitch yet ahead of several others who have professional experience and are thriving.

by dbreer23 on Dec 19, 2025 1:33 PM EST up reply actions

He

was your clear #3 in the draft behind Bundy and Bradley right? Or was he on Bradley’s level?

by McCutchenIsTheTruth on Dec 19, 2025 2:17 PM EST up reply actions

Among the prep pitchers, yes

No, not quite on Bradley’s level.

I don't think he's flying under the radar

Players with $2M signing bonuses get noticed. There are just a few minor questions on him, and they’ll probably be resolved with some playing experience.

by mrkupe on Dec 20, 2025 2:46 AM EST up reply actions

Among the general community, I think he is

A lot of people seem to be strongly against the idea that he’s TOR’s best pitcher. I don’t really know why. There are some questions as with just about every prep pitcher, but the positives definitely outweigh them.

Heh

That’s OK. The Jays still have an enviable stable of arms. Their place atop my minor league rankings has been stolen by the Rangers though.

Drew Hutchison

Even when it seems he’s about on the verge of being overrated, he’s still underrated. I’d bet on him contributing at least something of worth at the major league level over just about any pitcher on this list & I think he’s still got some potential projection left.

by Matt0330 on Dec 19, 2025 1:15 PM EST reply actions

I agree, I like Hutchison more than Sanchez and even McGuire

But that has in part, to do with Hutch being almost MLB ready, not that McGuire isnt’ but Hutch is the most surest thing to me out of the 3.

wow… BA is really high on Sanchez. Personally, I like Syndergaard better, even upside wise.

by Sniderlover on Dec 19, 2025 1:30 PM EST reply actions

Very Surprised

you have left Nestor Molina off the list. Definitely fits in with/above some of these guys.

i'm really shocked that Sergio Santos is listed as their future closer, personally

Molina

was traded

by auclairkeithbc on Dec 19, 2025 4:00 PM EST up reply actions

In the BA chat, he stated....

that Molina would only have been in the 11-20 range even if he hadnt been traded.

by rhd on Dec 19, 2025 4:03 PM EST up reply actions

hmmm

that’s pretty interesting. it is a deep system though.

by auclairkeithbc on Dec 19, 2025 4:06 PM EST up reply actions

I don't see how you take Wojo ahead of him

I’m not a Molina fan, but I think 10 is the right number on this list for him.

yeah personally I'd rank Molina 10th only in front of Wojo
