Matt Moore 2012 fantasy decision...

ok so i was offered jurickson profar, devin mesoraco and jameson taillon for matt moore...12 team, 33 roster spots, keep everyone year to year...highest scoring team in my league, just lost in the championship, im a win now team but getting a little old...however my pitching is pretty young...my full stafff is adam wainwright, tim lincecum, cj wilson, james shields, matt garza, doug fister, clay buchholz, ricky nolasco, corey luebke, francisco liriano, drew pomeranz, wandy rodriguez...with manny banuelos, taijuan walker, james paxton, mike montgomery, robbie erlin and archie bradley in my minor leagues....now my age comes with my lineup...c: victor martinez, 1b: paul konerko, 2b: dustin pedroia, ss: derek jeter, 3b: ryan zimmerman, of: ryan braun, jose bautista, matt holliday, dh: carl crawford...and my bench being desmond jennings, logan morrison, dominic brown, salvador perez and nick franklin in my minor leagues...i mean i know my thoguht process behind this move and the future of my team but id like to hear what others have to say about this...

The post he quoted asked about this exact trade. Nothing has changed in the last 15 days that should affect your decision or anyone else’s. Make the trade, you’re getting premium talents at SS and C along with a huge upside SP in Taillon.

that sentence right there should be used as the definition of trolling. If he already made his mind up, then there was no reason to ask for an opinion. As far as flip flopping, that’s not going to happen when there’s such a ridiculous offer as this. Now can someone ban this tool from here?

Let’s not fall for the recency trap. Taillon has a ceiling equal if not better than Moore’s IMHO. You throw in one of the best SS prospects in the game, AND arguably the top catching prospect (two hard positions to fill) and this is a no-brainer. Only way I wouldn’t do it is if you are all-in for next year, since only Mesoraco should be playing in the bigs next year. Your rotation is young enough IMO that you can wait the 2-3 years it will take before Taillon tastes the bigs, but I think it’ll be worth the wait.

Moore was throwing high 90’s, with possibly 3 plus pitches if I recall correctly and is left handed. I don’t see Taillon’s ceiling nearly as high as Moore’s/

Taillon has a ridiculous ceiling and from what we are told he has 3 potential plus pitches. But until he proves it in the upper minors, I cant say his ceiling is as high as Moore. I think Moore has top of the league potential, which is why I offered him Taillon, Mesoraco and Profar for Moore.

I know most of you say its a no brainer and told me not to do it in the other thread but I just though it was a perfect trade. He has Vmart and Jeter. I have Posey and Tulo. I’m happy if this trade gets done and happy if I dont. I still have Felix, Lester, Lee, Hanson, Strasburg, Ubaldo, Price, Holland, H.Alvarez, Duffy, Matusz, Bauer, Gray and Taillon. I really just wanted Moore, didn’t need him.
