just curious

I get that you need to cut these guys for space reasons in a physical book . . .but in the digital format, you have no such restrictions, because the difference is a slightly/somewhat larger file. Are the two versions of the book going to be identical, or will the digital version have the “cuts”?

well

that’s a good point, but there is also the simple limit of time. I have to get the book done before the kids are home for christmas break, and that won’t be possible if I’m writing up 45 guys for each team. i really have to get this down to 40 or fewer or I will just plain run out of time.

Does Teaford count as a prospect?

Bianchi and Jeffress are getting a little older and coming off so-so seasons. Edwin Carl did come out of no where, but is he really a top prospect?

Teaford...

yes, he has less than 50 IP

by dbreer23 on Oct 13, 2025 11:54 AM EDT up reply actions

yeah

Teaford counts. Bianchi and Jeffress I want in the book. Carl could be cut….but people ask about hiim so I want to put him in if possible

I don't think you can cut Jeffress

I mean he regressed horribly, but he was at the top of the list last year (top 10). Can he go after just one year?

And maybe Dayton won’t ask Hosmer for his thoughts on players anymore….

Sisk is probably going to get a chance in the KC bullpen.

I think he needs to be included. Baumann is further down, but still interesting.

And the Royals like Baumann

a lot. Sisk might be in the bigs next season and Bauman the year after.

Cut Bianchi.

I’d cut Carl next because the chances he makes it are so slim. He did have one awesome strikeout season though… but he also had an awesome BB season.

I'm not convinced Bianchi doen't have one last push in him

to be a Util guy at ML level

I think you have to keep Fletcher

He’s had two good seasons and although he is a little older, he always comes up as a guy who might make it.

smith

Everyone tells me I can cut Smith, but I’m not going to. I think there is enough there in the bat to warrant mention, even if his tools otherwise do not impress

Question regarding Royals prospects

they have been reported to be interested in a front line starter and the Rays happen to have a front line starter who may be on the block (Shields), who would the Royals be willing to give up for him and who should the Rays want back. While it may seem like an odd match as the Rays don’t really need prospect depth I think the Rays could load up with some prospects from the Royals and move them in separate deals to help fill some major league needs at SS, C, 1B, DH etc….

by Dbullsfan on Oct 15, 2025 3:25 AM EDT reply actions

That is an odd matchup

The “Captain Obvious” side of me says that the Reds are the perfect fit with excess studs at 1B and C…then again, I’m not running either team, so anything is possible!

who the heck is De'andre Toney?

Man, you think you follow a system and you still see names that don’t ring a bell

He was drafted this year. Had a great short season.

Seems to be very fast, and plays CF. Probably just another Dyson/D.Robinson, but you never know.
