Hello everyone. I’ve frequented this site for years and finally decided to muster up the courage and post on here. Now my knowledge of prospects isn’t anywhere near the level of a lot of you on here but I fully anticipate that to grow.
For my first iteration on these fan boards, I have dynasty league questions regarding pitching and hitting prospects and their prospective values. I’m going to lay out my depth and then follow that up with some questions.
Current Dynasty Pitching Depth:
In Majors:
Michael Fulmer
Vince Velasquez
Nick Tropeano
Eduardo Rodriguez
Mike Foltynewicz
Mike Leake
Andrew Cashner
Williams Perez
Guy In Majors Not Yet Called Up:
Justin Nicolino
John Lamb
Mike Bolsinger
Ross Stripling
Prospects in Minor Leagues:
Lucas Giolito
Luis Ortiz
Joe Musgrove
Keury Mella
Adalberto Mejia
Clayton Blackburn
Matthew Strahm
Justin Maese
Joan Gregorio
Max Povse
Jaime Schultz
Alec Mills
Chase DeJong
Jose Espada
Nick Travieso
Eric Skoglund
Josh Graham
Nick Wells
Ty Hensley
So my concern is that I have too much depth. The obvious targets that I want to get rid of are Leake and Cashner first. Then back end guys like Perez, Nicolino, Lamb and Bolsinger. I like Stripling to be a steady guy eventually so I’d like to hang onto him.
I need hitting in the minors in a bad way. I’ve got a few guys here and there (Bobby Bradley, Greg Bird, Austin Hedges, Victor Caratini, Ozhaino Albies, Chris Bostick, Tyler Nevin, Juan Yepez, LaMonte Wade, Cornelius Randolph, Ronald Acuna, Wuilmer Becerra, and Phil Ervin). A couple of those guys may turn into regulars but I’m not counting on it.
What type of value would you place on the pitchers I currently have vs. what they could potentially bring based upon their upside?
I look forward to being a solid contributor on these boards down the line.
