Good morning everyone and welcome to the Monday, April 11th edition of Minor League Ball daily notes. Here are some news links and baseball items for your edification and amusement.

****Minnesota Twins shortstop prospect Nick Gordon hit three doubles in the Florida State league last night.

****Jim Callis at MLB.com looks at the Top Ten minor league Opening Day rosters with the most talent. I can't argue about any of his choices.

****Shawn Brody at Beyond the Boxscore examines the importance of velocity gaps between fastballs and off-speed pitches.

****Nicolas Stellini looks at Rockies shortstop Trevor Story, 'first player ever to hit a home run in each of his first three games in the big leagues. He's also the first player ever to hit a home run in each of his first four games in the big leagues."

****Jason Hunt at Faketeams previews the California League.

***The main goal here at Minor League Ball is to get the remaining 'What to Expect" articles for all Opening Day big league rookies posted. Every time a rookie gets promoted, they will get such an article. Mallex Smith is up next. After all the rookies are up, we will start running 2016 draft profiles.
