Moustakas was reassigned to the Royals' minor league camp Thursday, the Associated Press reports. Moustakas, the team's top draft choice (second overall) in 2007 and an MLB.com Top 50 Prospect, drew some praise from manager Trey Hillman for hit bat. "Offensively, honestly, he's got some of the best hitting hands I've seen," Hillman said. "He really understands his contact position. He's still working on his balance, working on getting off his backside. He'll find it."
Good to know for the future. I see M&M&M&M (Mike 'Mauling Mongooses' Moustakas) getting some big league playing time this year. Kind of a shame to see he's in minor league camp already. What can you do?

I’m a fan of Moustakas, but didn’t he suck last year?

seriously tightened up his body over the offseason
both Royals and Boras were a little peeved at him last fall…got him into a rigorous workout routine and it looks to me like it has payed off some.
