Matt Harrison.

Travis Buck?
I think that even though his stock is way down, he can rebound to be an above-average outfielder if he can stay healthy.

Well
I suppose he could get out of it by becoming an American citizen.

Always enjoyed . . .
John - I always enjoy hearing your opinion on why a prospect failed. I can’t remember the title of the series, but your insight looking in the rearview mirror or reverse prospecting. I would like to know why you think Jesse Foppert fell from grace. Others:
Andy Marte, Joel Guzman, Chad Hermansen - I learn a lot from why a prospect failed as much as the ones that rise to greatness. BTW, I liked the font and the layout of the ‘09 edition better than the previous years. Also, I believe you have found a company that can keep the book bound together! Previous edition’s glue was not the greatest. Miss the show on XM.

Foppert.....
wasn’t it simply a case of not being able to recover from major arm injury?

Andrew Miller
Went from one of the best pitching prospects to pitching 107 IP with a 5+ era
Also, how about Not a Rookie: Robinson Cano (This has to be thought about as a big season for him in terms of progress) or Justin Verlander, who would be interesting to read about

Jo Jo Reyes
Like Brandon Jones, he’s had an excellent Spring after disappointing in a major way last year despite solid production in the minors and some degree of prospect status. Plus, neither player looks to be a part of Atlanta’s initial plans next year due to veterans (which are in both cases not clearly better than the Not-a-Rookie) blocking them.
Either way, I’m really excited to year your thoughts about Brandon Jones. :-)

Dude, he's a rookie.

fail
"If you hit .440 with 20 bombs, you don't have to do s---. You don't have to bring a glove to practice, just hit and leave whenever you want. You can bring a 40 and smoke a cigarette and call me from the parking lot asking me what time the game is, and I'll tell you. You can even say 'F--- you, Steve!' Actually, don't say that, that wouldn't be very nice." -Steve Friend, Head Coach, Chabot College Gladiators Baseball
