There was some great feedback in the first MOD. I looked at who the Sox could target with their first round picks and the consensus seemed to be anything but a high school arm at 10, though a prep pitcher could be in play at 26. Now let's take a look at some of the prospects who may be of interest with the other three picks.
The White Sox took a pitcher in the second round every year from 2010-2014. However, they do have a new Scouting Director, so that trend may not continue. Here are a few names to consider at #49:
Matt Krook, LHP, Oregon
Reggie Lawson, RHP, CA HS
Carter Kieboom, SS/3B, GA HS
Chris Okey, C, Clemson
At 86, it could be wise to target guys who have seen their stock fall since the beginning of the season. There are a few notable names who could be available:
Kyle Funkhouser, RHP, Loisville
Nick Banks, OF, Texas A&M
Bryson Brigman, SS, San Diego
Kyle Cody, RHP, Kentucky
Finally, at 116, the lists start to blur and teams' boards start looking wildly different. Here are some targets:
Bailey Clark, RHP, Duke
Carlos Cortes, 2B/OF, FL HS
Matthias Dietz, RHP, IL CC
What do you think? Who are some of the 2nd-4th round prospects you're interested in? Let me know in the comments.
