Javier Baez
Javier Baez
Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

I am now working on the Baltimore Orioles prospect list. The next team in line is the Chicago Cubs, to be followed by the Texas Rangers, New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Use this thread to discuss the Chicago Cubs farm system and organization. Possible topics for consideration include, but are not limited to,

***Everyone says that the Cubs farm system is in excellent shape. And they are right; there is a ton of talent here, one of the top conglomerations of young ability in the game. In your opinion, is it THE best? Who challenges them? The Twins? Red Sox? Someone else?

***Javier Baez got too much playing time to be considered a prospect on these lists, but he's hardly proven at this point. What's your take? Will the strikeouts eat him up or can he adjust? And how much slack does he get given the talent coming up behind him?

***Kris Bryant or Jorge Soler: who do you want coming to bat for you with two outs and the tying run on second base in the bottom of the ninth inning in Game Seven of the World Series?

***True or False: the level of pitching talent in the Cubs farm system is underrated.

***As always, feel free to discuss your sleepers, underrated, and/or overhyped prospects.
