SB Nation Blog User Survey

Time-warping in from 1979, J.R. Richard of the Houston Astros says you should take the SB Nation Blog User Survey. Do you want to argue with a guy who throws 100 MPH? (Getty Images)

Happy Tuesday to everyone.

SB Nation would very much like to hear your opinions and feedback on the user experience on this site. We are always trying to improve user experiences and your feedback is valuable in this process.

All responses will be kept confidential and the entire process will only take a few minutes. Also, as an incentive to participate, for the three (3) SB Nation sites with the highest percentage of completed surveys, SB Nation will make a $500 donation to the charity of our choice...that is, if Minor League Ball has one of the highest percentage of completed surveys, a donation will be made in the name of Minor League Ball to the charity selected by the community.

Let's discuss the potential charity in the comment thread. I have some ideas but I want to hear yours, and we will take a vote once we get some good candidates.

To participate in the survey, click here.

Of course, the charity donation won't happen in our name unless you take the survey. Take the survey! Thanks guys!

My charity suggestion:

Mercy Corps: My favorite international charity. Small administrative overhead, works in lots of places across the world, does emergency relief work but also focuses on lifting people out of poverty and making communities self-sufficient, non-sectarian, good reputation. http://www.mercycorps.org/

Canadian or American Cancer Society

All of us have either suffered through cancer, known someone suffering cancer, or have lost someone to cancer. These charities not only help finding various cures, but also provide needed resources in patient care.

?

Works for me. What is the problem?

by John Sickels on Oct 4, 2025 12:46 PM EDT up reply actions

No problem, just completed survey

I know first-hand about being out of work and trying to live off state aid. My suggestion is to find a charity/or directly to a food pantry/kitchen. I dont care where in the U.S. Just let families feed their children. $500 goes a loooong way. Thanks.

yes

This is true. On a national basis we could donate to something like Feeding America.

Is there we could donate to a Canadian and American charity?

I know a large number of the community members are Canadian so it would be nice if both countries could be represented. Regardless, this is great thing for SBN to be doing.

Took the survey

My pick for the charity if we win would be the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

by rw192925 on Oct 4, 2025 9:50 PM EDT reply actions

Took the survey

My choice for a charity would be the National MS Society.

I have MS and it amazes me that there is no cure yet. I’m fortunate that I’m not degenerative and the medication that I’m on controls my disability for the most part. Others aren’t as lucky.

I would also second the American Cancer Society for the same reasons. I guess I’m voting for medical research of some kind!

ok, so

Nominees so far

Mercy Corps (international charity that does a lot of stuff)
American Cancer Society (medical research)
National MS Society (medical research)
Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (medical research)
Feeding America (US food pantries and hunger)

All worthy causes.

Of course we have to win the contest first!!!! Do the survey!

Done

Just to throw it out there, I’d vote for something like charity:water which has a global mission, but where $500 can actually fund a transformative project rather than just into a general operating budget. If not, then I’d say Feeding America.
