Update

Any time I post a schedule a bunch of stuff happens and it goes in the circular file. So I'm behind again and will try to catch up today and tomorrow.

As many of you know, the XM/Sirius satelitte radio merger killed Rotowire's Fantasy Focus and my own Down on the Farm radio shows. We are trying to revive them using BlogTalkRadio, and we are going live today at 11 am Central Time. You can find us at

That's a shame

I always enjoyed listening to you and Jeff on XM - it was always a fun hour of fantasy insight.

I’ve been a little dismayed by some of the new hosts and allignment of shows. I’m thinking I might can my XM subscription anyhow. They now have Seth Everrett from MLB.com on between 11am and 1pm, and while I value his experience and perspective, I never really found his (and Corey Schwartz’s) fantasy show on MLB.com to be very informative. Don’t know if he’s planning on doing fantasy on the XM show - all they’ve been ranting about for the past week is steroids, of course.

I'll say it...

To have your own blog or radio show or etc, you need to put more time and effort into it than you currently do. Pretty sure I could come up with the stuff that you do in about 2 hours a day max - the book (that no one would buy if it wasn’t for this site). That isn’t going to cut it and I’m guessing that most of the people here agree with me. We come to this site for YOUR stuff, not some guy that follows the Yanks, or the Braves, or the Rangers. I know that I stop in here much less than I used to because frankly, there is nothing worth reading here 90% of the time.

baseball on Sirius

You have to pay extra to get the ‘best of XM’ to get the baseball channel. But ,it is an option… I have XM and have enjoyed the baseball games, but didn’t really listen to ‘MLB Homeplate’ all that often. I didn’t find many of the shows to be of interest, and I love baseball. I did enjoy listening to Charlie Stiener, FWIW, and occasionally to Jeff Erickson’s Fantasy Baseball show, but they were both on during the day, and I wasn’t able to listen often.

Steiner's show

Fantasy Focus followed by two hours of Steiner’s show was the best three continuous hours on radio. Sorry Howard and EIB.
