Minor League Resource

I am starting a website called themilbnetwork.com.

My plan is to create a website where you can find other minor league websites easily. A lot of it is still hard to explain, as Ive just started but I want to know if other people think it is a good idea.

These are some of the features I want to have:

1. Twitter directory - every twitter account realted to the minor leagues will be listed. I'll have a scouting section, player section and official team section. You can view the start of the scouting section right now, by going here.

2. Profiles - any website or blog related to the draft or prospects will be listed on my site. You can submit your website using a form I have created. To see a ROUGH sample of what the profiles will look like go here.

Everything will be organized. If you want to find draft blogs, just go to profiles, and look for the name of the person/site or view them by category and go to draft blogs.

What else could I add to this project to make it better? Would this website be something you would use?

Also, dont worry about the descriptions of the sites I listed. In the future, they will be written with more detail.

It's in the beginning stages right now, but I really believe this website could be an excellent resource for all MiLB fans.

A great idea

Some of my major complaints, especially with sites using the SB Nation format, revolve around being able to find old material. on baseball america’s website, I can find top 10 lists from years ago with east. On this site, I struggle to find top 20 prospect lists from a month ago.

If you were to have a section just for sickels, for example, I think having links to all of the previous articles would be immensely useful

If this is done right, I guarantee I’ll be an avid follower

Really?

I just searched “top 20 prospects Atlanta Braves” and I was able to easily find all of the Braves lists going back to 2006, as well as a number of reviews of those lists.

I agree

I’ve never had a problem. Just the other day I was able to find all Royals top 20 prospects lists dating back to 2005.

I can do that

In the team sections I’ll have prospect lists archives for that team from various sources.

it's not the final layout

and still adding more resources

What could I add to the pages to make them better?

Of course I'd be interested

if it’s free, of course. I’d certainly be interested in checking it out. If it’s good, I’d be thrilled. If it sucks, I’ll just move on.
