If I had the time, I would do these kinds of lists my whole life
Besides 9 people, everyones middle name is Allan.

Cabrera hate?
Stetson Allie as a 3B. Love these lists.

Yordy?
Many don’t like him because he will likely not stick at SS and he may never develop the power to play third. Maybe a Todd Frazier type but only because I can’t think of anyone else that is even closely simliar.

not knocking your call,
just wondering. I’ll be happy if my Cubs get a cabrera, josh sale, or one of the big high school arms at 16. shouldn’t be a problem, as there is enough quality that someone will drop.

The strength of the draft...
is pitching, so there is a good chance that a good arm falls to the Cubs at 16. I could see Chad Bettis, James Paxton, Deandre Smelter, or a position player like Austin Wilson being there when the Cubs pick. Josh Sale seems like more of a late first round to sandwhich round pick to me.

Some interesting rankings
Brentz at 6
Harvey at 13
Dietrich at 23
Spence at 27
Hernandez at 32
They seem much too high to me

I want to see...
Andy Seiler’s opinion on this. In my opinion, it is a pretty decent list with some mistakes and some questionable rankings. If I made a list it would look quite different, but it would also not make it past 100. I think Austin Wilson, Nick Castellanos, Bryce Brentz, Jed Gyroko, Brian Ragira, and Kevin Keyes are all pretty over rated and Trey Griffin, Kaleb Cowart, Deck McGuire, Alex Wimmers, and Chris Sale are under rated. I think Chris Sale is the best college lefty and McGuire is at least the second best college pitcher.

Good call on Keyes
I missed that ranking. He’s way too high.

Chad Bettis
- and 171? Are there two because that is a pretty distant ranking, not just 10 spots. And the second one is listed as Texas Tech and Texas.
I know even if Gerrit Cole was eligible, he can’t possibly be that low

I just looked at the top 50
Preston Tucker and Trevor Bauer are also 2011 prospects

Just a few comments.
First, great job putting together such an extensive list. Most people can’t name 100 draft prospects, let alone 300.
A few corrections, some mentioned above:
-Bryce Harper’s no longer from a Las Vegas HS
-LeVon Washington’s no longer playing second base
-Kevin Gausman is from Colorado, not California
-Kevin Keyes is going back to the outfield
-It’s spelled Chevez Clarke, not Chavez
-Matt Lipka is from Texas, not Florida
-Eric Arce moved back to Lakeland HS in Florida
-Preston Tucker is a 2011
-Matty Ott is a 2011
-Gerrit Cole is a 2011
-Trevor Bauer is a 2011
Sorry to nitpick, just wanted to help you out.
Glad to see someone else putting some interest in the draft. I’ll be seeing #10 vs. #283 next Friday.

Kevin Keyes is moving back to the OF?
I was under the impression that he couldn’t handle the OF defensively because of his additional weight?

They want to give it a shot.
The official word is that Keyes is trying his hardest.

Thanks Andy
That is the kind of stuff I need. I don’t have as much time to research each one as much as I’d like and I get some of the small stuff wrong.
I love the draft. Wish I could do more with it, but just blogging away for now.
Looking forward to your book. Good to see someone besides PG and BA doing good draft stuff instead of scouring the internet for random tidbits from slanted points of view.
I just can’t afford all the subscription stuff.
