Where do you have Stewart at? I thought I was pretty high on him, and I have him at #53(with a few guys still not on this list ahead of him on my list). Where does Stewart rank for you? Top 40? Higher? I just have a hard time seeing him much higher than 50 because of the lack of the consistent 3rd pitch.

hey
can i ask why no brainer? I really love ZB … and would’ve had him on before Arrieta because I believe in his ability to stick as a starter more (and also because I tihnk there might be a tad more in that body), but just curious on the word choice of no-brainer here. I’m hard pressed to think that there’s a no-brainer once we get past the elite tier, as things are bunched fairly closely, so I’m curious why you have ZB by, what seems like, based on your words, a notch ahead of others.

I think he is a better prospect than the current choices
+ fastball velo, tremendous sink, and I believe in his secondary stuff. His fastball command has a ways to go, but he has a lot going for him, and I think he is generally underrated (although I think KLaw overrated him on his list).

Voting for Dominguez
Plus defense at 3B, 25 HR power potential, improved plate discipline. He may never hit more than .250 or .260, but the overall package of tools and skills is much too good to pass up at this point.

i still like him
but I’m really not sold on the bat.
by daveh33 on Feb 16, 2026 10:04 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Here's how I look at Dominguez
If he makes no progress with the bat from here on out, he looks to me like Pedro Feliz circa 2005 or 2007 with a bit better walk rate. That puts him around 3 wins. If makes a little bit of improvement with the bat, I think of Adrian Beltre circa 2006 or 2008 which is a 4 win player or so. I think how he ends up will depend on how the Marlins handle him as well, I’d give him a full year of AA and at least half a year of AAA if not a full year. He’s plenty young so it won’t hurt to let him spend two more years in the minors refining the bat.
RIP Nick Adenhart

Yes, I see that
BUT Pedro Feliz with a much better approach at the plate. Which would be a damn good player.

Yeah
Dominguez will walk more than Feliz, but he was an easy comp based on defense/HR potential.

I think I'm impressed with it because I think I should have seen it
I don’t know how much better his approach at the plate will be.
.265 BA with an 8% BB rate and 15-20 home runs with +5 to +10 defense at 3B. Definatley a solid player as I think the perfect world projection is much higher than that.
by Navi's_Navy on Feb 16, 2026 10:56 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Well...
Pedro is a .254 career hitter with a 5.3% BB rate…
I could see .260-.270 for Dominguez with a higher walk rate (he’s been trending higher and higher every year and I like his approach a lot)… but I dont think he will be quite as spectacular a defender as Feliz. Bar was set pretty damn high.
by alskor on Feb 16, 2026 11:09 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I like him a lot.

Brett Jackson
Potential good to plus defender in CF, has 20-25 HR power. Good speed. Plate discipline wasn’t as bad as some thought, although it needs work. That said, positive reports on his ability to play situational ball and his strike zone awareness/recognition makes me willing to give some time there. He should be at AA at some point relatively next year, at the very least, around midseason (barring injury or a tremendous collapse), and could even start the year there. Most winter comments from publications have been positive about him, with guys like Callis ranking him in the middle part of the top 100.
I like Jared Mitchell, but Jackson has more power potential and seems, at this point, based on what’s out there, to be a better bet to stick in CF. I like Dominguez, but I’ll take the CF if they are relatively close, and I think Jackson is ahead of Dominguez for me easily. Beckham and Mier are too far away for me to legitimately ponder right now. Frazier … I may be underrating him a tad, but I voted Jackson over Frazier lost poll and haven’t changed my mind yet.
I’m just not sure I can vote for an arm here. I LOVE Vizcaino, but he’s raw and far away, as is Martin. Main intrigues me a tad, but I’m not sure I love his ceiling enough to go with him over, say, Jay Jackson. Stewart’s another guy I might be underrating a tad. I mean, if Arrieta is on, Stewart should be close, as I don’t see a significant difference between the two … but I didn’t think Arrieta should go on just yet.
by toonsterwu on Feb 16, 2026 10:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Thoughts
First I want to say I love the posts you make each poll, plenty of good observations and thoughts in them. I like Jackson, he fits in at #76 on my list. His sample size is too small to really pull anything meaningful from I think, his walk varied greatly from level to level, the K rate rose as he moved up and the power was inconsistent. I still think he can be an above average to plus defender in CF with 15-20 HR and 20+ SB, but the plate discipline is something that I’ll be watching this year.
While I disagree about Arrieta not belonging on at this point, I do agree he and Stewart are close. I see them with similar ceiling and floor actually. Both could be power relievers in the 8th or 9th innings without any development to their currently arsenals. Conversely if they improve their 3rd pitch both have #2 upside. Jay Jackson is another arm I really like, he’s #66 on my list which might be too low, but I own him in a fantasy league and I try and temper my enthusiasm for those guys, sometimes a bit more than necessary.
Frazier is a guy I like a lot, #52 on my list. Has the bat to be average or better in an OF corner, could be very valuable at 2B or 3B, although mostly because of the bat.

Thanks
just trying to put my 2 cents in. I’ll add that I can understand people not voting Brett here. Just voicing why I voted the way I did. I sort of want to see that
a) He can continue to dominate
b) That the scouting reports on his strike zone recognition/awareness show up as he moves up.
That said, I feel comfortable enough about the upside to go with him here, but I can understand otherwise.
I’m also mildly surprised at what seems like better love for Jay Jackson than I anticipated. 2 more votes than I anticipated for this round of voting, and you have him at 66.
I will say that I wonder if I am underrating Stewart and Frazier a tad. Could very well change my mind and go with them ahead of Brett in the next poll.

6 walks in over 200 plate appearances, regardless of contact ability, is too telling. Top 200 because of Power/Contact combination, and if he bounces back in BB% a bit then its passable ,but still.

Ramos
OK, not at 58 but I like his upside better than some of the guys here. He’s 22 and has put together 3 pretty good seasons. I believe he was battling some injuries while hitting .317 last year. You mention the 6 walks, did you notice the 23 k’s over 200 AB’s as well?
Anyway, just making more of a point about the choices

a strikeout isn't much worse than any other out
advanced pitchers will eat him alive when they start exposing this glaring weakness (it is glaring). J.P. Arrencibia suffered a similar fate, but he is regarded as a very very good defensive catcher (and I think has a bit more power potential). I can’t put someone in my top 100 with Ramos’ type of discipline issues if he doesn’t bring something else that amazes me, and nothing about him really does (he does hit for ALOT of contact, but so does Dioner Navarro).
by Navi's_Navy on Feb 17, 2026 8:29 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I'm backing Strums here in a big way....
While I am a Twins fan as well….
Many people on the SBG nation Twins site Think Ramos is the #1 Twins prospect and The #3 catching prospect in all of baseball behind Posey, Santana (Montero being counted as 1B/DH)
And Although Thats a bit high for me or too rich for my blood - it isn’t crazy
Keith Law had WILSON Ramos at #48 or so in his top 100
Ramos is the BEST defensive catcher in baseball that carries any sort of stick at all.
and I must say judging by the Winter League this year, Ramos carries a decent size stick.
Lets go get Adrian Gonzalez..... how do you say holy shit! - ~en espanol ?
by SteveHoffmanSlowey on Feb 17, 2026 5:20 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Jason Castro is the much better defender and offensive player.
I still like Arrencibia just as much if not better than Ramos as I don’t think he is as lost in the discipline department. I think both Arencibia and Castro are much better defensively than him. Hell, Lou Marson is better than him and I’m high on Tony Sanchez. There is a long long way to go before I start putting Ramos on my list despite what others may want to rank him. He may shoot up if he shows increased plate discipline, but right now there isn’t much for me to drool over.

For anyone who is interested or has some thoughts to share
where should Adrian Cardenas start getting a look? This got discussed a little on a previous thread, but do any non-A’s fans think he’s become a little underrated over the past season or so? I’m asking fans of other teams only because I know there’s some homerism in every fan including myself, so i’d like to hear from some who look at A’s prospects from an “outsiders” perspective. Cardenas doesn’t belong on now, but should he get some consideration within the next 15 or so rounds?
by JPShark on Feb 16, 2026 11:14 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I have Cardenas @ #75
Can’t imagine how he could get on before Jemile Weeks. I know Im Weeks biggest fan, but there’s good reason for that. BP and BA both had Weeks above Cardenas.

http://baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=9891
I would also advocate Ynoa above him, but I realize people here are still much more concerned with what he’s not rather than what he is. Both BA and BP have Tyson Ross above Cardenas as well, though I have Ross slightly below Cardenas. Ross really doesn’t get enough mentions around here.

Im not a huge Frazier fan.
He’s got an ugly swing with inside out action and a hitch. Im really not sure how much I buy hit bat in the majors. Most troubling to me is his lack of a defensive position. If he ends up in LF his bat is fairly mediocre IMO. Im confident he can’t play SS and I dont like his chances of playing 2B, either.
by alskor on Feb 16, 2026 11:48 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Its funny
I never read a report on him that seems to like him that much. Its one of those things where he keeps hitting and people finally conceded he’s a good hitter and prospect - BUT many are still keeping him really high off their original view of him as a SS. I dont think he deserves the attention he gets. Looks like another solid regular to me, and not one Im particularly fond of.
by alskor on Feb 16, 2026 11:54 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Well
I can’t speak to his swing, but like you say he just keeps hitting. He will take a walk, his K rate improved last year, and he should post ISO’s in the .175-200 range(could be higher IMO). I think he’ll be an above average defender in an OF corner and would be at least average if not slightly above at 3B if given the chance there.
RIP Nick Adenhart
by gatling on Feb 17, 2026 12:01 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I think that his bat isn't anything more than average corner outfileder even if he is +5 in a corner
and until he proves he can stick a position in the infield then I’m not sold on the bat. If he can play an average 3B then he is a better prospect, but still the 8th best 3B in my opinion.
by Navi's_Navy on Feb 17, 2026 12:19 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I think Frazier is a much better prospect in fantasy over real life
Most leagues have a 5, 10, 20 game threshold for multi-position eligibility and people are looking at Frazier as a guy who could qualify as 2B, 3B, LF, and maybe even SS (again, for only a handful of games but that’s all you need).
If he puts up .280/80/22/90/10 most years then that’s a very valuable fantasy player. That is coincidentally about what Ben Zobrist is projected for.
Needless to say, you know that many people tailor their lists to fantasy over real-life where defense and intangibles aren’t taken to account.
by two fishsticks on Feb 17, 2026 12:05 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
That makes some sense.
For me, I see a guy with a weird, inside out line drive swing that starts with a hitch. Its a pretty ugly swing, really. I think its something that MLB pitchers will be able to really exploit and I see his K’s rising. Also not sure his power will really translate that well, either, again because of the swing (GABP will probably hide this, though).
I also don’t really buy his defense. I see him as a .275/.340/.440 15 HR kind of hitter with average defense in a corner. Maybe a little better, but for me he’s a lot closer to JAG.
by alskor on Feb 17, 2026 12:20 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Ben Zobrsit is light years ahead of him defensively, even if he falls off a cliff he'll be better than Frazier
and Frazier doesn’t nearly have the plate discipline and plate vision that Zobrist does. I actually don’t think Zobrist will hit for that much power though.
I see your point about multi position eligibility in fantasy leagues, and I could see that as a reason he is being overrated.

Just saying that Zobrist has been a multi-position player in the past and Frazier is likely to do the same in his early years. Also, that Frazier’s realistic but optimistic (not the ceiling but the attic) 5×5 stats in his peak year/s are similar to Zobrist’s projection in 2010.
When you compare other factors like defense, bb% rate, k% rate (again, not a factor in your garden variety leagues) then Zobrist and Frazier are not comparable at all besides they are tall, lanky, Caucasian, and contain a Z in their surname.

Agreed
I missed the original intent of your post a bit. Also, thanks you for making me laugh.
