Still Just Puppies...but...Teheran, Heredia, Perez, Inoa or others?
These 4 international signee's have been given considerable hype...
The question is, which will be the best and why?
Julio Teheran (Atlanta) AGE: 18 (will be in @ 1 week 1/27)
Jario Heredia (New York Yankees) Age: 19 (just turned Oct. 8th)
Martin Perez (Texas Rangers) Age 18 (will be this April 4th)
Michel Inoa (Oakland Athletics) Age 16 (just turned Sept. 24)
I am going to go with Martin Perez. Despite playing in Texas, I think with his performance last year in Spokane, he deserves the nod. Inoa is second on speculation alone(though I am not overly confident in this type of ranking), Heredia is third on performace, and Teheran is last based on injury and lack of actual field sample.
YOUR THOUGHTS...

if
you want to include a NYY teenage arm, you better off going with Arodys Vizcaino, who has a better arm than heredia. heredia posted very solid stats last year, but he doesnt have big time stuff. Vizcaino was pitching at 90-95 this summer with a plus CB

Your right...
He is right there with Heredia, maybe even a tick better, but pitched at a lower level, and didn’t get the attention Heredia did. I am sure other Organization followers will point out similar injustices.
I don’t question your evaluation on stuff, I have never seen either one pitch, but are either better than Perez or Inoa?

Roberto De La Cruz
He was the best hitter that was signed last year. The main question with him like most Cardinal 3B is can he stay at 3B. If he can he could be great.

Portillo
- on the SD BP list, and his stuff seems great. Just putting another name out there.
A noob or n00b is someone that lacks intellegance or common sense, most people think that noob is a word used only in the online gaming world, but in reality it is becoming an ever popular word with teenage society.
a noob could be simply a level 100 running round shouting ‘’WTF DO I GO!?’’ or someone calling someone else a noob and then getting hit with a brick, anyone can call anyone a noob, but normally they are noobs themselves

Another good one...I was unaware.
I still take Perez & Inoa before him though.

Here's a guy who might turn
Better than all of them!
Randall Delgado, 18, RHP
In 69 innings, he posted a 3.13 ERA along with a 81/30 K/BB with a very strong GO/FO ratio. He topped out at 96 this past season in Danville but at 6’3" and just 165, he still has plenty of room to fill out and add more velocity. He just screams Feliz minus the 100 mph FB.

I wrote about him awhile ago. Very impressive young arm that gets lil to no attention… yet.

Kevin Goldstein
Goldstein mentioned him in his Braves Top 11, IIRC. His stuff is apparently up there, just a step behind Teheran’s. The Braves have a lot of nice young arms in that system. I sure hope a couple of them turn into studs. :-)

Difficult but i love the topic
Its difficult to give an accurate guess but I would say the top two are between perez and inoa. Im gonna go with inoa based purely on scouting reports, he has better size and throws harder. But perez has been compared to a youn johan so thats some pretty high praise.

Very good question
I just think the default answer has to be someone who’s already pitched in the minors at some level.

Why not the guy with the most hype?

Realistically Inoa is going to win this poll
Shiny new tow that he is with no stats to contradict his scouting reports. That aside, right now Teheran is my favourite

Got to admit...
I am surprised Teheran is in second…what has he proven? That he has an Uncle in the organization???
That said…what has Inoa proven…besides $4.5 million. I still like Perez the best. Time will tell.

A couple things...
He’s proven that the scouting reports are legit to a certain degree by showing his fastball really does sit in the mid 90’s and that he can touch at least 96 or 97 MPH. He also showed that it translates to a certain degree by striking 17 and walking just 4 before being shut down for precautionary measures. I don’t know that Perez’s performance in short season A this season (7.7 k/9 and 4.1 bb/9) was enough to make up for the slightly more impressive scouting reports I’ve seen on Teheran.

Really?
I would go Inoa and then Perez… but Im much more shocked Heredia actually got 11 votes. He has nowhere the upside of the other guys. He’s a quality pitcher and somewhat underrated… but does not belong on this poll.
