Suggestions
I am caught up in business affairs today and have had no time to write, so please use this as a suggestion thread for what you would like to see upcoming. I know we will do an AQA thread later this week, and the sleeper shortstops thing I mentioned as well once I have time to sit down and write it.

Greatest prospects that failed due to injury... What if....
Guys like Ruben Mateo and the great What If he never got injured.
I know there are a lot of highly touted guys that got injured, but picking a few of the truly amazing ones that failed due to injury at AAA or the majors might be a fun revisionist history piece. Same type of thing could be applied to Bo Jackson and what if he never had the degenerative hip problem.

From the last AQA
In the last AQA I asked for names of guys in deeper systems getting lost in in the shuffle and you responded that it would be a good subject for a longer article:
Specifically, I’d like to know some guys outside the top 10 in some of the really deep systems (e.g. Rays, Rangers, A’s, etc) that kind of get lost in the shuffle and we would see a lot more excitement about if they were on a team with a more barren farm system like Houston or Arizona.
I’d love to see you follow up on this as I find it a very interesting effect on the general perception of different prospects.

greatest draft year for each team
Leading up to the draft each teams greatest draft year could be featured
Crystal balls always good.
Prospect retros also good.
My first mistake was assuming you knew what I was talking about.

Been said before, but...
Really love to see “Top Talents under 25” lists for every team, and maybe even a top 50 under 25 hitters and pitchers list. I know that’s probably a lot of work but I think it’d be great to look at and an incredibly popular feature, too. I’m not sure why a lot of prospect sites don’t do something like this.
I never really understood the arbitrary nature of “prospect” status and how it just evaporates once a guy happens to move up to the MLB. Guys like Brandon Wood are still really prospects, but just because some development time at a higher level than AAA they lost the label.
The real thing we all care about is how these young guys grow and develop into MLB players, and that development doesn’t stop once they reach the MLB, especially when teams have such different time tables for bringing players up.
Anyway, I know it’s been said before and it’d be quite a bit of work, but I think it’d be very worthwhile.

Any chance of some more stuff about the upcoming draft? I know it’s early, but it would be fun.

Prospect Retro for Adrian Gonzalez
could be cool. I’d be interested to see what you said about him during his time as a Marlin and Ranger.

Older minor league players, late bloomers...
Who might be this year’s Garret Jones? Are there guys out there like Matt Stairs and Jack Cust who can do some major damage but just need an opportunity? Is there a Colby Lewis who didn’t put it together until he was 27, and even then had to go to Japan to get a shot?

id like to see a Montero vs Santana debate
now that Heyward is up i think these 2 are the safest bets to be major league stars with the bat, but personally i cant decide between the 2 longterm.

Take a negative view
Take a group of prospects or position and breakdown what could lead to failure. What warning signs can we see from past flameouts and busts.

Break down position changes in the top 50
Are the best 1Bs originally 1Bs or have they migrated?
When a 2B comes into the draft (most likely college, right?) do they have a better success rate than SS that shift to 2B?
What skills (or lack thereof) are the primary reason for a shift? Speed/Hands/Arm?

Future Star - Bryce Harper
Would like to see a segment on Bryce Harper, what you hear so far, what scouts are impressed with, etc.

Injury Updates
First post on your great site, John. Long-term reader, and proud to say so.
A two-part injury update idea:
Part 1: for the recently striken: Tazawa, Westmoreland, Mitchell
Part 2: for last year’s striken: Ynoa, throw a dart towards Ontario (or Vegas), whomever strikes your fantasy.
Thank you, Sir.
