Milton Bradley = Kanye West of Baseball?

ESPN.com had an article about Milton Bradley and how he feels he is the Kanye West or "bad boy" of Baseball.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5025391

I found it to be a little odd that Milton Bradley "self-proclaimed" himself as the Kanye West of baseball.  Sure, he has never been considered a good guy, but still I wouldn't consider him a household name enough to have that comparison.  That got me to thinking... who is truly the Kanye West, or bad boy of baseball?  Also, what other players in the league resemble different real life counterparts in music, movies, and in the public eye?

Here are some categories of celebs/icons, I'm curious to see what player you think fits each role:

Kanye West (Bad Boy of Baseball)

Jesus Christ (Baseball's Model Citizen)

Michael Jackson (Popular among fans but also somewhat odd)

Evil Knievel (Risk taker and wild man)

Kim Kardashian (obsessed with their image)

Conan O'Brien (comedian of the league)

Michael Scott (Manager who is the most player friendly)

If you can think of any more good role comparisons, feel free to toss those in as well.

Amazing Thread, and Rec'd

Kanye West (Bad Boy of Baseball): Gotta be Jose Canseco. Although, Kanye isn’t a bad boy, he’s just an idiot.

Jesus Christ (Baseball’s Model Citizen): Joe Mauer.

Michael Jackson (Popular among fans but also somewhat odd): Manny Ramirez.

Evil Knievel (Risk taker and wild man): Eric Byrnes (if he’s still in the league)

Kim Kardashian (obsessed with their image): Alex Rodriguez.

Conan O’Brien (comedian of the league): Ryan Dempster

Michael Scott (Manager who is the most player friendly): Ozzie Guillen

Snooki (Famous, but mostly for making an idiot of themselves): Milton Bradley

Craig Ferguson (Has a borderline creepy level of dedication from his fans): Grady Sizemore.

Samuel L Jackson (guy who seems kind of cool, but once you meet him, comes off as completely insane [true story]): David Ortiz

David Beckham (Loved by women, but has a shockingly feminine voice): David Wright, obviously

You’re name has 2k9 in it — what are you some 8 year-old who makes Pillsbury Doughboy cookies and jerks off to that bullshit video game with Tim Lincecum on the cover--

I can’t believe I forgot about Manny for the Michael Jackson comp… he fits the bill.

I agree with David Wright as Beckham, good comp…

My picks

Kanye West (Bad Boy of Baseball) - Elijah Dukes. Is this really debatable?

Jesus Christ (Baseball’s Model Citizen) - Joe Mauer

Kim Kardashian (obsessed with their image) - A-Rod, hands down. I don’t see who else this could go to.

Conan O’Brien (comedian of the league) - Pedro

Michael Scott (Manager who is the most player friendly) - Dusty Baker, and that’s not the only commonality they share.

Milton Bradley is NOT a gay fish

Bradley isn’t Kanye. To be Kanye, you need someone who’s very good, accomplished and famous, but is lacking self-awareness or security about the things they can’t do. Like singing for Kanye. Jeter would work, except Jeter’s fans are more arrogant about him than he is about himself. Hmmm…

Papelbon is Kanye! Very good, right to be full of himself to a degree, but exceeds that degree.

Nick Swisher seems like a funny guy

"Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism."- Eastbound and down...if you like baseball, watch this show it's one of the funniest ever!

LMAO

Kanye West is a bad-boy? Are you joking? There is a difference between being a pompous ass and being a “bad boy”.

he’s more like the Liberace of rap.
Bad boy would imply dangerous/edgy, such as a guy like Tommy Lee

I was only quoting the article from ESPN… I agree, he is much closer to a pompous ass than a bad boy

Bobby Valentine was Michael Scott

Good at some of the fundamental skills (Valentine was good at x’s and o’s while Michael Scott’s a good salesman), but both are too desperate for attention to just button down and do the job.
