Kansas City Royals organization prospect discussion

I am now working on the Atlanta Braves Top 20 prospects list for 2016. The next team in line is the World Champion Kansas City Royals, followed by the National League pennant winning New York Mets, the Cleveland Indians, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Boston Red Sox.

***The Royals have been to the World Series two years in a row now. How long can they keep the post-season run going? Assuming they manage to lock up Alex Gordon in a semi-affordable manner, which of the remaining core should they focus on?

***Put another way, if you could lock up only one of the Eric Hosmer/Lorenzo Cain/Mike Moustakas/Salvador Perez core, which one would you pick?

***My very early surface impression is that the farm system is a bit down right now, particularly on the hitting side. Is that a fair impression?
