Rank these rookies

I'm in a lifetime ownership APBA league and I will have two early draft picks. My team is an expansion team that needs just about everything. Please rank the following rookies: Eric Hosmer, Mike Trout, Dustin Ackley, Brett Lawrie, Michael Pineda, Julio Teheran, Jesus Montero, Mike Moustakas, Vance Worley, Bastardo, Lonnie Chisenhall, Dee Gordon, Drew Pomeranz, Tayvon Robinson, Jerry Sands. Also, add the names of anyone else you think is a top prospect.

Many thanks

Yes, Harper!!!!

Harper, Hosmer and Trout are probably the three clear cut building blocks but listing other “top prospects” is futile unless you have more context……as an expansion team can you take an established pitcher off someone’s roster? does the scoring favor hitting or pitching? what’s the veteran pool of available players like?
Seeing guys like Robinson and Sands at 14 and 15 while Hosmer and Montero are listed raises more questions than it answers. From the way you posed this question, you would be better off finding a top keeper list out there such as ESPN’s to get an idea of where the young guys fit in with the established guys. Good luck

You two should take a look at the list up there and see how many players there are without major league time.

I’m guessing that by “rookies”, it means guys who have actually debuted.

Good point

Jennings, Kipnis, JD Martinez, Altuve, Mesoraco, Matt Moore, Addison Reed,Beachy, Minor, Vogelsong, etc etc etc
The number of impact rookies this year alone is staggering so I still feel like Dobes should provide a little more information such as whether guys like Harper/Machado/Taillon/Profar or Cole/Rendon/Bauer/Hultzen are available.
Disclaimer: I’m not familiar with APBA league parameters so things might be more obvious to others here?

haha

Can’t argue too much with Dobes ranking of those 15 rookies so maybe we should just ignore the “add the names of anyone else you think is a top prospect” part till he chimes in?!?!

Fantasy

For fantasy purposes I would do:

Trout, Lawrie,Montero
             drop
Teheran, Hosmer, Ackley, Pineda
          Slight drop
Pomeranz, Moustakas ,Chisenhall , Worley
          Big Drop
Gordon, Sands

I would probaly add Beachy, Kipnis, Meso, Goldschmidt to this list as well.

I think the top 3 are separated from the others:
Trout is Trout and looks like is on his way to stardom.
Lawrie reminds me of a young David Wright with probaly a stronger arm and heavy dosage of add.

Montero should have c eligibility and could put up monster numbers in that lineup and ballpark.

I’d swap Montero and Hosmer because I think Montero’s a DH, but otherwise I like it. May also depend on what the position eligibility minimums are.

slight drop
Moustakas, Kipnis, Mesoraco, Beachy, Worley,
slight drop
Ackley, Pineda, Goldschmidt, Pomeranz, Chisenhall, Cain
drop
Gordon, Sands
