Is your keyboard broken? :D

Seriously though, I suggest you start spelling a little better. It is pretty hard to read a lot of your posts.

mock=mark

This is worse than I thought…… You didn’t even know what you spelled wrong. I get it; we all spell wrong, especially when making quick comments on message boards. KBR was pretty tough on me for that ;). However, it would be nice if you could spell a little better so we don’t have to read it over several times to understand what you were saying.

I've been hesitant to say anything, JT

I didn’t want to appear to be an ass — Mr. Maniac handled it well.

JT, your posts are horrendous. And I’m not trying to be mean, and I’m not talking about the content of your posts.. They are simply very difficult to read.

From a previous post, I gather that you are from Canada. I am hoping that you are French-Canadian and English is your second language.

Or that you are in your early teens and typing is very new to you. Or message boards are very new to you.

Again, I’m not trying to be mean or pick on you — we’re just trying to help you get your points across in a clear manner.

I would suggest taking 20-30 seconds before hitting “post” to slowly re-read what you wrote. And capitalization and punctuation are very helpful.

……

Now, I hope I didn’t type anything wrong and end up with egg on my face! :)

Best wishes.

…..

(And IN before the “grammar nazi” and “get off my lawn” comments from others) ;)

If this is serious, I really disagree.

I thought Ryno handled it properly and politely.

I should post my thanks more often for the write-ups I enjoy most.

If only Alex Gonzalez the Younger had lived up to his career averages during his stint with Cincinnati…on offense and defense and health.

I also enjoyed the Alex Gonzalez stuff,

But couldn’t think of anything meaningful to contribute to it, hence my lack of comments.

thanks

Thanks for doing the Seth Smith piece. As a Rox fan, I think the guy has a ton of talent. I’m concerned about his K/BB ratio this year though. When he first came up, he was much more selective and looking more Helton-like… I’m curious to see your insight.

It is weird that the most similar player to Alex Gonzalez is Alex Gonzalez

And even weirder that the most similar player to Alex Gonzalez is Alex Gonzalez in return! What are the odds that both of those things would be true? They must be copying each other.

breakout players

Have you ever thought about doing something like a monthly (in-season) synopsis of players who appear to be breaking out or disappointing and maybe your thoughts on them? It seems like so many questions are geared towards getting your opinion of a possible breakout player, and perhaps it may also give you a place to go back and review when working on prospect lists.

I like the Prospect of the Day feature, but it’s geared towards guys who are close to the majors. My focus tends to be more on who might join or move up the top 50 / top 100 lists, so the questions I think about are more along the lines of, “Has Paul Goldschmidt shown he can handle advanced pitching? What is Jon Schoop’s upside?”

prospect

as the season progresses there will be more of those kinds of guys in prospect of the day. also minor league notes will have breakout types and answer some of the questions you suggest .
