Went with Dellin
Have him five spots ahead of Lyles on my own list. I like Lyles, but worried about deterioration of results across the board - I think that the Astros pushed him too quickly. He has the ARL bonus, but I fear it could really be a negative in this situation.

Lyles
reminds me of Mike Mussina. A young, quick developing player who is good across the board but not spectacular at one particular thing. He has a good fastball with very good velocity and control, backed by a curveball that complements it very well and he can locate in the zone, and a service-able changeup which he can get lefties out with. He can strike out batters but isn’t dependent on missing bats. He walks very few if any people. He’s durable, he’s polished, and he’s overall a very solid prospect. I think his floor is Joe Blanton and his ceiling is Mussina, and I struggle to see Betances as more than a reliever.

Lyles as Mussina isn’t bad as an absolutely great outcome, but I’d have to see development of Lyles’s changeup before I buy in more.
