CarGo question
Dumb question but... Carlos played all three outfield positions last year. Which one would you say is his main position? Which one do you expect him to stick at in the future?

He's...
a RF by trade and should play the majority there.

Crap shoot, I think
If Fowler can step in to CF full-time, they likely move CarGo to LF, where he seems to profile best defensively. Otherwise, I bet we see CarGo back in CF. Surprisingly, I thought he’d profile best in RF, but (by UZR/150) that seems to be his weakest spot.
Hmm, that wasn’t really all that helpful, was it?!?

Depends on the park
Jim Tracy’s philosophy is to play Gonzalez in the more difficult corner outfield spot depending on the opposing pitcher for the day. That is, he (usually) plays LF at Coors and other parks where the deficiencies of Smith and Spilly would be hard to mask. He will play right field if that area is more difficult. This allows Tracy to hide Smith or Spilborghs in the easier of the two corners, depending on who plays against that days pitcher.

Will he switch the COF's in-game
if the aforementioned circumstances present themselves?
Carlos Zambrano: 26.6 HR/FB

Yes, sometimes Gonzalez does shift from one to the other
Usually, depends on how Smith or Spilly have done at the plate that night (and who is winning the game).
