Thanksgiving Break

(Getty Images)

Taking a thanksgiving break to spend time with family. I'll be working on the Washington Nationals list today and hope to have it done Friday.

This time of year, I always take stock of my life. I am a truly fortunate man....I have a great family, a great job, great kids, and the best wife in the universe. It would be impossible for me to really express how thankful I am for my wife Jeri...she has blessed me in so many ways. She's the best person I've ever met, the most loving, the strongest, and the greatest joy of my life.

What are you thankful for?

Thankful

I’m thankful for a lot of things. I have a fiancee who I love dearly, even if planning a wedding is overwhelming. I have a job I like, and that pays me well, which is more than most have. I have a family and friends that love me, and I’m pretty blessed.

Things I'm thankful for

Friends and Family, to help me remember that no matter what things will be ok. Music, to help me reduce the stress in my life. The experience of people who are older than me, because you can never learn too much from people who have been around the block a time or two. My health, because there are far too many people my age who are bed ridden and can’t get out of the hospital. The good Lord above for charting a course for me, even if I don’t know what it is yet. My 95 year old Great-Grandmother, who is just now getting old. The Armed Forces of the United States that allow us to BS with each other on this great site.

Players who should be in the Hall of Fame: Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Jack Butler, Greg Llyod, Andy Russel, Cris Carter, Kevin Greene and Jerry Kramer

blessings

My wife also takes issue with another woman being the best wife in the universe. Simply being above replacement-level wives isn’t enough, it seems :)

I’m thankful for her and the rest of my family, my job which enables me to provide for them, and for baseball which gives me an outlet from it all when I need it!

Thanksgiving blessings...

I’m a pretty blessed man. Good family (Yes, even with my teenagers, OK, sometimes with the teenagers, too.) and friends. I’ve got a job, a car, a house and clothes on my back. Food for my ever growing body. Even though it bring me pain to see some of their games I have a baseball team in my fair city of Wash.DC. A new GM who actually knows what he’s doing. ( We have to teach him how to negotiate) We’ve got players to look up to here finally. Zimm, Zimm, Stras, Desy, Espy, Wil “I am” Ramos, Storen, Clip,Lannon, Harper and all the other minor leaguers. I’d mention more but they might be gone by the spring. My only prayer for this next year is that the Lord lends my patience enough not to kill my teenagers. Otherwise, I’m good to go.

Thx Mr. & Mrs.Sickel where ever you are…

Feliz Dia del Pavo

Thankful for my family, especially the newest addition. and to be employed in this economical enviroment. But most of all I’m thankful that the Orioles finally have a legitimate manager.

Here's to my lady

Who plays along with all my dorky baseball stuff. I wouldn’t be able to be nearly as interested in this as I am without a girl who could put up with this for as long as she has. And the rest of my family too. My best friends. Who are taking care of all of us (in a sub floating around in scary places) and taking care of their families like a good brother should

Wife and Good Health

Plus, Two thirds of Sleater-Kinney (Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss) back together in new band Wild Flag. My Festivus grievance is with myself, for never going to a Sleater-Kinney concert when they were together.

Im thankful for...

Living in the greatest country in the world where we have men and women that have died and continue to die and fight for our freedom. I have the best family. I have a great future wife. I have a great job. The ability to spend my time caring about sports. And most of all I am thankful for God that has blessed me with all of this.
