Brad Holt
Hasn’t pitched in awhile. Is he hurt?

grant desme
he turned 23 in april so he’s old for the low A MWL, but he missed basically 2 seasons after being drafted in 07. w/ injuries. Nice to at least see the power/speed combo that covsidered as high as a late 1st rd type back then. If they were aggressive at least get a stint in the cal league before season end

He's an interesting prospect
I’m not sure how to evaluate his ARL considering he basically hasn’t played in two years. His numbers look kinda similar to Corey Brown’s in Kane County last year, only he doesn’t walk as much but has much better stolen base numbers. The biggest thing for Desme right now is making better contact, the weird thing about his numbers is that he has gotten better each month but his K-rate has gotten worse each month.

Lindblom
Lindblom actually pitched one inning of relief Sunday and didn’t start today.

I really hope the Padres don’t make a dumb move and bring him up to the majors yet.

From the SD Union Tribune earlier this week
When Towers was asked to identify candidates to sub for Peavy in the rotation, he listed three – Triple-A starters Walter Silva (who worked seven shutout innings for Portland on Friday night) and Wade LeBlanc, and Double-A prospect Mat Latos.
Which might be the best news of the day.
Latos might be the Padres’ most exciting 21-year-old pitching prospect at Double-A since Peavy in 2002. And remember how Peavy electrified Padres fans upon his arrival that June.

Randall Delgado didn't pitch. It was DiMaster Delgado
I like Randall Delgado though. He’s just not consistent enough. I guess that should be expected from a teenage pitcher.

He may not be a prospect anymore
But Sandoval is looking to out perform the predictions this year by a lot:
