Who are the best 8 fantasy prospects?

I've got;

Madison Bumgarner

Brett Wallace

Fernando Martinez

Christian Friedrich

Zach Stewart

Julio Teheran

Thomas Neal

Then deciding between Grant Desme, Angel Villalona, Alex Liddi, and Juan Francisco. This is just for fantasy baseball, so their D doesn't matter. Desme's age and K's concern me, Villalona's fiasco in the DR and uncertain future do too, Liddi I like but his home/road splits are telling, and Francisco doesn't walk. Help!

Who from that last group should be kept, or do I have the wrong 7 up top? Thanks in advance.

Villalona is probably the best, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on him escaping the DR any time soon to resume baseball activities.

Personally, I’d go Desme. Good power/speed combo and he’s closest to the show on that list. Francisco has too many contact issues, imo. Liddi was in High Desert, need to see how he performs outside the CAL before I consider him a fluke.

for me it’s Desme with Liddi as my 2nd choice. I believe that Villalona’s career is probably over, and Francisco doesn’t look appealing.

That’s what my thinking was too. I’m a Giants fan so I’d love to keep Villalona, the situation is just too messy. The top 7 are as they should be though?

but i would say keep bum or friedrich, maybe leaning towards bum and hoping the velocity returns

Keep Desme

There is a very real chance Villalona is toast for fantasy baseball purposes. Desme, IMO, has the highest upside of the rest of the guys you mention.

as a fantasy player

at least in my keeper dynasty league, OF’s seem to carry the least weight (unless your talkin about a Braun) and are almost a dime a dozen…keep one of those SP’s who might develop into a #1 or #2 pitcher which are harder to come by and might also net you more in return if you need to deal one of them in a year or so

Villalona is certainly interesting

but between him being… you know… an alleged murderer, being really raw and far away and sucking pretty badly its easy to rationalize letting him walk. Liddi is really intriguing as well, but (somehow) even more of an unknown quantity than Desme.

re: hmm...Villalona?

I doubt he will play for awhile, I’d drop him (even if there were sentimental attachment) and Francisco. Though to me its a close toss up between Francisco and Liddi.
I also would trade F-Mart or drop him too, he’s most likely not going to be anything more than Alex Escobar Redux….
