I'd cut Barnes
It’s hard to see the upside in a 23-year-old who just OPS’ed .793 in the Pioneer League. Yeah, he has speed, but the bat just doesn’t seem to be there.

Criag Baker?
I see him as intriguing. A little old for his league but thats due to injuries early in his pro career. 4 pitches out of the pen as a converted reliever.

The Rockies seem to have 3 solid above average catchers in their system.
Pacheco
Wilin
McKenry

Offensively, yes
Defensively, Rosario needs work and Pacheco needs a lot of work as he’s a converted 2B — I think the Rockies ultimately see him as kind of a super utilityman.

I’d cut Houston, Williamson, Scahill and probably Barnes. There’s not a lot of upside with the first two RHP’s despite decent performances to date, and the other two are intriguing but need to show more against more age appropriate competition.
Beerer definitely stretches the definition of a prospect, but he had an excellent season in 2009 and I could see why given the intriguing background he’d be listed.

change
cutting scott beerer in favor of Al Albuquerque who is on the 40-man and who i have seen in person. Beerer is a great story and we will track him, but at age 27 in the cal league i can’t justify it right now.

I'd cut Beerer, Clark, Houston, Scahill and maybe Mayora
Impossible not to have positive thoughts.
I want Sam Deduno to pitch already.

Suggestions
Cut Beerer (not a prospect but is a great story), Barnes (not top 40 worthy yet), Houston (not top 40 worthy yet).
