Floyd

In my opinion the best band of all time…my favorite at least.

:-(

Shine on you not as crazy diamond.

RIP

Well, there went any hope of ever seeing them back for a full-length concert or even larger projects. The hair on the back of my neck stood up through the entire Live 8 performance and really got my hopes up more reunions would follow. Definately an under appreciated member of the band as he was a huge part of the band’s sound on DSOTM and Wish You Were Here. RIP Richard.

I dunno..

I kind of think this means it’s more likely for them to get back together…unfortunately. Live 8 was amazing though.

I had a list of people I wanted to see get back together and play, Pink Floyd was on it. Not it won’t be a true reunion.

Yeah

Obviously when that piece was bing put together he knew Wright was not in a good way. I think it it’s still possible - as much tension as there has been between Waters and Gilmour, they still respect what the other one brings to the table. It would be nice to see one last collaboration of Waters word smithing being put to a melody or two of Gilmour’s…

And WTF is taking Waters soooo long to put out another album. He’s supposedly got gobs of material - some of which he’s been playing live for the better part of a decade.

Waters

No kidding, I thought he was supposed to release an album in late 2007 but it never happened. I read that he is working on another project, but don’t know if there is a new timetable.

Waters was not on good relations with any of the band members. I think they all have fond memories, but the band in general can’t stand working with Waters.

It’s a shame about Wright though. He is an excellent musician.

A truly great pioneer of rock.

His work on Ummagumma is the stuff of legends. He will be remembered!
