Take your pick...
Thought this was a pretty interesting debate...Vitters or Matt Dominguez..GO!
To me it is the the classic debate of Ceiling vs Production..Vitters only hit 5 Hrs this year but was originally said as per BA to possibly have 70 power...Dominguez hit 18 HRs with Mono and is a slick fielder...take yo' pick...

I'll take Dominguez
I think he’ll hit for good power and avg, with excellent defense. See Ryan Zimmerman.

Vitters
Will probably hit for a higher avg, but I think Dominguez gets the advantage in other aspects of the game.

I'd take Vitters
Dominguez is pretty good in his own right, but I think his numbers may be inflated a bit from the home park and he didn’t even reach 400 ABs this year, making me somewhat skeptical of declaring that he suddenly made enough of a jump to bypass Vitters’ own sharp performance.
I wouldn’t underestimate Vitters’ bat. Not only is he very good at making contact, but there’s a lot of untapped power there that’s going to come out as he matures. The glove also appears to be improving, although I’m skeptical that he ends up as more than average.
Basically, the ceilings of the players are Dominguez: slightly above-average bat, plus-plus glove and Vitters: plus-plus bat, average glove. I also think Vitters is slightly more likely to reach that ceiling. Given that the bat is more important than the glove, I take Vitters.

Well...
Vitters only had 273 ABs compared to Dominguez 345 ABs, so I dont get your point saying Dominguez didn’t get enough ABs to surpass Vitters?
Dominguez line was 345 ABs 68/28 K/BB in Low-A, while Vitters was 273 ABs 45/13 K/BB in mostly Short Season Ball. I would say Dominguez is the “Safer” of the two if anything and has proven more at a higher level. I just disagree with people who go off only scouting reports and don’t use numbers, a good mix of both is always healthy

"Only" scouting reports?
Before this year, there wasn’t much doubt that Vitters was the superior prospect. Then both Dominguez and Vitters perform well during this season, and suddenly Dominguez is better because of 70 more ABs? Uh uh. I don’t think I said anything about only using scouting reports (although they’re certainly more important than raw numbers in young players and at low levels).
It will be VERY interesting to see how Dominguez fares next year once he’s out of Greensboro (where he posted a 1.000+ OPS compared to his .688 OPS away).

dominguez
he has proven he can at least hit a bit at a higher level. Vitters I don’t think will be no better than a Bill Mueller, joe randa type player. Dominguez could be Zimmerman or Lowell.
