Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Thursday, August 11th. Here are some items worthy of your attention today.

*****Toronto Blue Jays prospect Richard Urena hit three triples yesterday for Double-A New Hampshire. He's now hitting .433/.452/.833 in seven games since being promoted from High-A. He was excellent down at Dunedin, hitting .305/.351/.447 at age 20, so his quick start after moving up to New Hampshire is a continuation of success at a higher level, always a good sign.

*****Two-hit shutout yesterday for San Francisco Giants prospect Ty Blach for Triple-A SacramentoBlach stands 13-6 in 23 starts with a 94/32 K/BB in 145 innings, highly credible for the Pacific Coast League.

*****At DRaysBay, Joseph Biggs makes the case that Matt Andriese belongs in the Tampa Bay Rays starting rotation due to the quality of his cutter.

*****Someone will launch a salvage operation on Carlos Gomez now that the Astros have let him go. Jeff Sullivan at Fangraphs tries to get a handle on what's wrong with him.
