Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Tuesday, August 9th. Some items worthy of your attention today:

*****Six shutout innings last night for St. Louis Cardinals prospect Luke Weaver in his first Triple-A start for Memphis.

*****Houston Astros prospect and 2015 first-rounder Kyle Tucker has been hot for Low-A Quad Cities recently, hitting .333 with three homers and eight walks in his last 10 games. This brings his season line up to .283/.356/.414. It will be interesting to see if the power surge lasts the rest of the season.

*****At Beyond the Boxscore, Rob Rogacki looks at Alex Gordon's poor 2016 for the Royals. He examines video, spray charts, launch velocity and angles; it is a very detailed breakdown comparing the Good Gordon from 2015 and the Bad/Old Gordon for 2016. This is what I'm talking about in regards to Integrated Baseball Analysis!

*****At Fangraphs, David Laurila interviews Miami Marlins reliever Kyle Barraclough.
