It's time for a new feature here at Minor League Ball: a community-derived Pitching Prospect and Hitting Prospect of the year. This is the voting thread for Hitting Prospect of the Year. The pitching question will be posted in about an hour .

Ground Rules: Only players who will be rookie-eligible entering 2016. That means that guys like Carlos Correa or Miguel Sano are NOT eligible. Corey Seager won't get to 130 at-bats so he is eligible. We will have a separate 2015 Rookie of the Year poll once the regular season is in the books.

The nominees to choose from:

Lewis Brinson, OF, Texas Rangers
Clint Frazier, OF, Cleveland Indians
Rhys Hoskins, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies
Max Kepler, OF, Minnesota Twins
Trey Mancini, 1B, Baltimore Orioles
Nomar Mazara, OF, Texas Rangers
Brett Phillips, OF, Milwaukee Brewers
A.J. Reed, 1B, Houston Astros
Corey Seager, SS, Los Angeles Dodgers
Richie Shaffer, 3B, Tampa Bay Rays
Nick Williams, OF, Philadelphia Phillies
Bradley Zimmer, OF, Cleveland Indians

"Hitting Prospect of the Year" does not necessarily mean "had the best hitting statistics."  Defense counts too. How much it counts, that's up to you.
