I am now working on the Kansas City Royals 2016 prospect list. The next team in line is the New York Mets, to be followed by the Cleveland Indians, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Oakland Athletics.
Use this thread to discuss the New York Mets farm system and organization. Some possible points of discussion include, but are not limited to,
***Noah Syndergaard. Is he already at his peak? Can he improve from where he is now? How do you assess his injury risk?
***Will Steven Matz ever be able to throw 200 innings a season?
***Shortstop Amed Rosario generates very positive scouting reports but not much in the way of numbers yet (.257/.307/.335 in 2015). Of course he is very young and was only 19 years old playing in High-A. Obviously he gets some slack for that, but how much? What are your expectations for him?
***Will Brandon Nimmo and Dominic Smith develop substantial power?
***As always, feel free to discuss sleepers, overlooked prospects, overrated prospects, or just about anything as long as it is Mets-oriented and has something to do with the farm system, even vaguely.
