I think the vote speaks for itself

But unless there is a compelling reason to clear roster space (Other trades, keeper limits, ect.) than I think this a pretty horrible deal. Pineda might have decent numbers this year, but you are talking about dumping 2 top 10 prospects and lottery ticket in Matusz.

If someone offered me

Machado straight up for Pineda, I’d take Machado… or at least I’d consider it for a while.

I think the only ones that would vote for the Pineda side

are people valuing competing in 2012. Which is important. But there is probably 25% chance Matusz performs as well or better than Pineda this year. And for the future its a no-brainer.
