Suggestion Thread
Looking for coverage ideas as we go forward...use this thread to make suggestions. I'm going to do something about interesting players in college baseball this week, but I refuse to put a date on it since every time I make a firm schedule, something stupid happens and I get delayed. I have other things in mind as well, but am keeping them under my hat for now.
Great thanks to everyone who participated in the Community Prospect List thread...you can find here. You can find a few things to quibble about, but it looks as good as anyone else's prospect list.

I wouldn’t mind that if John feels he can put something out he has any confidence in so we can compare how his feelings changed at the end of the season. The draft is something I’ve tried to focus on a lot the past couple of years and have really come to enjoy talking and reading about the amateurs. I know PP just pushed out their first article of the year on college baseball and their first podcast so think it would be fitting.

In addition
I really like the idea of a draft preview, and I would also like to propose a thread on which high-level prospects are continuing to add to their resumes in major league camps and which are instead stumbling a bit.

what if?
how about something about prospects that really deserved to play but weren’t given the chance for whatever reason (high contracts ahead of them, politics, criminal activity, etc)?

Is there a thread on...
…non-prospects that became solid major leaguers? And what caused people to misjudge them?

recommend a prospect
readers try to recommend a prospect that John never heard of… if he already knows the player, the post is deleted/ or that player is left off the list.. whatever players survive get examined more closely, to see if they’re worthy of prospect status

Thanks John
I appreciate the recognition for the work Pinstripes and myself put into the list this year. While the list is not perfect, I think it is a good representation of the community’s rankings. On the list who would be the one player you believe is ranked MUCH too high, and the one player you believe is ranked MUCH too low?

That could be interesting. Some sort of constructive criticism of the players and their placement (not of the process itself of course). Players you rank much differently and why.
Also, maybe some sort of examination of highly rated prospects that you just have a bad feeling about. Players you have to give a high rating to because they deserve it, but you get a gut instinct that they won’t turn into regular MLBers. I feel that way towards Jeremy Jeffries. Gotta give him a decent prospect ranking, but I have serious doubts that he ends up as a regular starting pitcher in the majors.

With as much effort you guys put into it, I think it would be fitting for John to comment on how he thinks the player rankings look.

re: ditto
I miss the crystal ball as well.
perhaps you can do a draft history of which teams are successful (thanks to the draft or not) etc. I remember you talked about that once….IE[ [kinda run down the best prospects of team’s past and compare to other teams etc]

Top College Players
I wouldn’t mind seeing a view on the top players in college. Maybe a list of some of the top prospects from the different conferences. I wanted to try and go to a University of Maryland baseball game this season. And I wanted to try and see someone that was likely to be drafted (I have no clue who’s any good). Thanks.

Maryland
AJ Casario, OF. His name has been tossed around as a 3-5 round type of guy, perhaps even into the 2nd. It’s really early to project that of course, but that’s a name to watch.

Talk about how it has affected prospects. Like before/after value and performance.
A noob or n00b is someone that lacks intellegance or common sense, most people think that noob is a word used only in the online gaming world, but in reality it is becoming an ever popular word with teenage society.
a noob could be simply a level 100 running round shouting ‘’WTF DO I GO!?’’ or someone calling someone else a noob and then getting hit with a brick, anyone can call anyone a noob, but normally they are noobs themselves

Hmm...
How about a write up on Strasburg, signability and the impact of the National’s GM leaving.
