And so another Major League Baseball season comes to an end, with the Houston Astros defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game Seven last night. We had predicted an Astros victory in this game, which brings the final post-season prediction record for 2017 to 24-12.
This was certainly one of the most exciting Series in years with two young and evenly-matched clubs who both seem well-positioned to contend for years to come. From the perspective of a baseball purist the constant barrage of home runs may be a bit off-putting, but then I’m not a purist. I enjoyed it.
With the season in the books, we’ll transition to full off-season coverage now, which means more prospect lists. I’ve been working on the Atlanta Braves for several days and will have more thoughts about that later this afternoon.
But back to the Series for a simple pair of discussion questions:
1: Did you enjoy it?
2: Would you rather be the Astros or the Dodgers over the next four years?
