With only 17 days until draft day, it is time to update the Draft Order.
Some publications still have Seattle with the 47th pick (2nd Round) due
to the expectation of Kendrys Morales signing with another team. Such action
would give the Mariners a Compensation Pick (#28) which they would lose for
signing Robinson Cano.
Now that we are closing in on June, it is highly unlikely that a team
interested in Morales would not wait for 2-3 weeks to sign him and keep from
giving up a draft pick.
Due to this, I think it is safe to officially have Seattle lose pick #47 for
the signing of Free Agent Robinson Cano (NYY).
This moves all the Angels picks outside of the 1st Round (#15), up by one.
The Angels new draft order and bonus pool is ....
015 – 1st Round - $2,035,500
053 – 2nd Round - $1,050,600
088 – 3rd Round - $ 612,800
119 – 4th Round - $ 436,500
