Brewer's catching situation
So the Brewers currently have 3 catchers on thier 40 man: Greg Zaun, George Kotarras, and Angel Salome. What are the chances that Salome gets some big league time this year? It seems he's got pressure behind him from Jonathon Lucroy, so do the Brewers give him a shot this year to see what he can do? Is his defense improved at all? I know this was the major knock on him, since he is kind of stuck at C or nothing given his body.

I read earlier in the offseason that Lucroy would leap frog Salome. Seems the Brewers’ management was impressed with Lucroy’s AFL performance and hinted to him starting over Salome if it became a competition between the two. Milwaukee signed Zaun(?) to be their starter and to be a mnetor to Lucroy. We’ll see how it all shakes out in the spring.

Confirmed
I heard this also. What will determine part of this is whether the Brewers think they have a shot next year, or whether they are one or two years away. If they think they have enough pitching, then they run with Zaun until the tank is empty.
