I wasn't able to easily track down last year's rankings that the readers of MinorLeagueBall voted on, so I'm willing to take up the task this year as I have done in years prior of running the votes and proceedings for a community prospect list/ranking that would take us past 100 prospects, hopefully getting us to a top 120/125/150 with honorable mentions

The last time I ran this on my own we used a +1 and +2 voting system for each round, with +1 being your "first" vote and +2 being your second...the "+2" would come into play if there was a tie between those who got first place votes and there was a clear disparity btw two or more prospects who got second place votes

If there was a close enough vote after that, a "runoff" would take place where the poll would only be open to "+1" votes btw two or three players to determine a winner

I'm open to suggestions on how to improve this or what has worked better or what's become the norm in recent years

The reason we use a vote vs a rec'ing system or poll is to prevent ballot stuffing/anonymous readers/promote discussion within those who really want to evaluate rankings btw players and talk about all things sample size, strikeout rate, FABIO, ARL and the like

Lastly, I'd like to start off the voting on November 1st with each round of voting open 2-3 days
