Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Saturday, May 13th, 2017. Let’s get started. Baseball is cool.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Highlights from yesterday can be found in the Friday comments thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Carson Fulmer went 5.1 innings for Triple-A Charlotte last night, fanning eight, allowing seven hit, one walk, and one run. He now has a 2.72 ERA in 39.2 innings with a 33/12 K/BB, showing considerably better command than he did last year.

****St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Jack Flaherty allowed two runs in six innings for Double-A Springfield Friday, giving up six hits, one walk, with six strikeouts. He now has a 0.99 ERA in 45.1 innings, at age 21 in Double-A. Texas League observers report exceptional mound presence and pitchability.

****After a slow start in Triple-A, Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Dylan Cozens is heating up for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs in the International League. He went 3-for-6 with two homers yesterday, giving him a .351 average with four homers in his last 10 games. He’s still hitting just .221/.292/.451 after the hole he dug in April, but the hot run is good to see.
