Today is the mock big day! We pick 6th, 37th, 47th, 83rd, and 112th. It’s fun having an extra pick early in the draft. Obviously best player available is the overall strategy. I’ll want to draft somewhere between how I/we would draft and some of how I/we would expect the A’s to draft.
As I put in the last MOD, my top 10 looks like this

- Kyle Lewis
- AJ Puk
- Mickey Moniak
- Riley Pint
- Nick Senzel
- Delvin Perez
- Blake Rutherford
- Joey Wentz
In the second MOD I mentioned that IF I were to go with some kind of strategy (most likely I won’t though) then I’d try for an advanced bat high schooler (not guys like Gavin Lux or Will Benson) and a college pitchers (or as some also pointed out, a college catcher).
So far the latest mocks have the A’s high on Jason Groome and Nick Senzel. I’m not big on Collins or Manning.
