Hello fantasy baseball gurus!
We have an opening in what is, in my opinion, one of the best fantasy baseball leagues around. League has been going strong for 6 seasons. I have been a member for 3, and it quickly became my favorite league. We've got a league full of great owners who are always good for a discussion, a good ribbing, or trade talks. If you're an active owner looking for a deep league, you won't be disappointed. Enough about that though, here are the details.
30 Teams, one for each MLB Club. Open team is the San Francisco Giants.
Teams are comprised of a 31 man MLB roster with 5 DL slots, 60 man MiLB roster, 13 player rookie roster for players drafted in the past MLB First Year Player draft, and a 10 man International Free Agent roster for international signees below Hi-A ball. Yeah... that's a lot of players. Currently over 3000 rostered players in the league so willingness to scrounge for that next diamond in the rough is a must.
Rosters are kept on a Proboards site: Triple Play Baseball
Scoring is kept in separate AL/NL leagues on ESPN.
The Giants have been a middle-of-the-pack team for a little while, but that's mainly due to the owner not putting in much effort.
MiLB roster is pretty ugly. I'm not going to sugar-coat it. A.J. Cole, Brian Johnson and Adrian Houser headline it.
The big club is much more promising. First & foremost, there is Bryce Harper. The rest of the lineup consists of Neil Walker, Chris Carter, Caleb Joseph, Ryan Braun, Alcides Escobar, Lonnie Chisenhall, Gerardo Parra & Jacoby Ellsbury. Anthony Gose is a notable bench player.
The rotation is led by Cole Hamels & Hisashi Iwakuma. The bullpen could use some work. Its most notable players are JP Howell, Ernesto Frieri, Dan Otero, Jim Johnson, Oliver Perez & Al Alburquerque.
This team will need a skillful trader to either re-tool it or rebuild it. Either direction could work. Obviously it's nice to have one of the most valuable players in the league on it.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them, or pop on over to the proboards site and ask on our chatbox. There's usually a couple guys online at all times who will be willing to answer any questions you have. You can also email me at dmartin410369@yahoo.com
If interested, either reply on here, or send me an email at the above email. Again, I cannot speak highly enough about how great this league is. You will not find a league that is more competitive, I can guarantee that. It's really a lot of fun and has a realistic feel to it.
