I am now working on the St. Louis Cardinals Top 20 Prospects list for 2015. The next team in line is the Oakland Athletics, to be followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and a long nap. After that I will go through and revise the previous Top 20 lists to account for prospect trades, plus make any revisions necessary to bring the Top 20s in line with the Top 175 prospects list.

Use this thread to discuss the Oakland Athletics organization. Some possible points for discussion include, but are certainly not limited to,

****The obvious question: what do you think of all the off-season trades? How many games does this team win in 2015?

****How would you handle Franklin Barreto, the top shortstop prospect acquired in trade from the Blue Jays? If he performs well in Low-A, how quickly are you willing to promote him? Mid-season? Any chance you would start him in the Cal League to open the season?

****If you had to pick someone from the minor league system to be your full-time, 500 at-bat designated hitter, who would it be? Caveats: they cannot have any prior major league experience, you have to hit them no lower than sixth in the lineup, they will stay healthy, and they will only be used as the DH: they will never have to play in the field.

****As always, feel free to discuss sleeper/under-rated prospects as well as over-rated ones.
