Looking for Writers

Note: I've gotten many inquiries from people who would love to contribute, but don't live near Sally League affiliates, but rather other teams. Shoot me an email if this is the case, and we can probably work something out. Given the amount of requests I've received thus far from people in this situation, I'm more than happy to re-examine the direction of my site at this stage.

I am in the process of launching a brand new website, Sally League Journal. As you can probable deduce from the name, the site focuses exclusively on the South Atlantic League (perhaps with the long-term goal of eventually expanding to every minor league level). Essentially, the site is basically a Baseball Digest version of the Sally League, focusing on feature stories and news from across the league. While analytical posts are certainly welcomed as well, the site's main focus will be on magazine styled pieces, as well as scouting reports and daily news content, as I feel this is a relatively untapped area throughout the baseball blogsphere.

To do so, anyone interested in writing for the site will be provided with press credentials. I am a credentialed media member myself, and over the past few years have built up a small network of scouts and others in the baseball industry. Unfortunately, this is a large endeavor that I cannot completely fulfill on my own, so I ask for your help.

Obviously, anyone interested in writing for SLJ should live within reasonable traveling distance of a Sally League affiliate. Past blogging/reporting experience is preferred, but is not necessary. Writers may contribute at their own pace, but I am looking for at least weekly content.

So if your interested, just send me a brief resume at: matthimelfarb@gmail.com, briefly describing what you feel you can bring to the table, and any past writing work you may have, and I can fill you in on the rest of the details.

+1

I typically attend 10-15 KC Cougars games myself. I live 20 minutes from their stadium.
