*I know Pena is not technically a prospect since he used up his eligibility, but since he used it up as a hitter I figured it would be ok to put him in.

Once Posey loses eligibiilty ....

This is a very weak system to me, they’ve been in the top 10 in terms of all 30 teams the last 2-3 years but after Posey, Bumgarner there isn’t much there anymore.

And I like Belt, Neal quite a bit.

can you convince me that I’m wrong?

Wow Blackburn makes nearly identical money as Baker does now....

no

just a sambple of carbon-based wastage

I wish I could

But AA really killed a lot of guys who were seen as top prospects (Noonan, Kieschnick, Gillaspie) and with a draft that doesn’t look that good on the surface, our system has really taken a hit.

Completely agree

I felt this system was weak coming into the year and Neal (along with Kieschnick) has done nothing to prove that he wasn’t vastly overrated because of the Cal.

Neal is starting to heat up with the weather

but Kieschnick is very concerning-he is getting out slugged by Nick Noonan.

Gary Brown

Is it just me, or is Gary Brown’s absolute maximum upside Juan Pierre? Maybe with better defense…but that doesn’t seem like a first round pick to me.

brown

Better than Pierre . . .Pierre was always a LF masquerading as a CF, Brown can be a true CF and a good one. Brown also has more bat - not a great bat mind you, but he’ll have more gap power than Pierre.

Brown is a little risky, but most of the complaints about him seem to center solely around the fact that he didn’t walk very much this year. He’ll never be a walk machine but he doesn’t strike out very much, either. A guy who can hit, run, and field at a premium position is a very valuable player, even if he doesn’t draw many walks.

I think his upside is a Freddy Sanchez type-with more speed

Empty .300 hitter, not a lot of pop, good defense-I know it’s not a great comp given they play different positions but that’s what I see

I could see this

For me, Neal was the hardest guy to decide where to rank
