How long does the new rebuild job take?

You woke up today as general manager of the Kansas City Royals. Your team is 52-97, last place in the American League Central division.

****Your predecessors put all their eggs into the world series basket and came away with a championship in 2015. But that roster is long gone and rebuilding is underway. How long will it take?

****The farm system entered 2018 in weak condition. Have summer trades and the 2018 draft done enough to turn that around? What more should you do for 2019?

****Would you bring back Ned Yost as manager as his contract expires, sign him for a one-year extension if he wants it, or move onto someone new right away? If so, would you look internally or externally for a new manager and who would it be?
